Summary Of The Scam:
- This Site Is Bursting With Phony Profiles Called "Online Cupids"
- Phony Email Messages Sent To Free Members
- Computer Sent Instant Chat Messages Used To Lure People Into Buying A Membership
- This Site Is Here To Amuse You, It's Not A Real Dating Service
This Site Uses Fantasy Profiles Termed "Online Cupids"(Fake Members):
What good is a dating site without real profiles? Not much! But that didn't stop the people who run Lonelyaffair.com from filling up the site to the brim with all types of bogus female profiles. You will be hard pressed to come across any real girls on this site. Every profile that we saw was an "Online Cupid". This is the label that this dating site gives to their fabricated female member profiles.
These online Cupid profiles don't look fake unless you know what to look for. First off it has the icon in the profile. Other indicators include images of women who are completely nude and very attractive. You need to understand that most women even if they are looking to hook up would be afraid to be completely nude showing their face, but most of the "Online Cupids" show their faces and are nude. This is a tell-tale sign of a phony profile (plus the icon ). We found out about "Online Cupids" reading through the terms and conditions page of the site. They clearly discuss and indicate exactly what "Online Cupids" are and what they are used for, which is essentially to trick and scam people into purchasing monthly memberships to use the site.
(Every profile shown here is not a real members, they are all "Online Cupids")
Taken from the terms page:
"THIS SITE USES FANTASY PROFILES CALLED ONLINE CUPIDS®: You understand, acknowledge, and agree that some of the user profiles posted on this site may be fictitious and operated by the Site or its contractors. These profiles and related messages are conspicuously labeled with the Online Cupids logo . You understand, acknowledge, and agree that the information, text, and pictures contained in the Online Cupids® service profiles do not pertain to any actual person, but are included for entertainment and educational purposes only. Life events, experiences, interests, and geographic locations are fictitious. Nothing contained in any Online Cupids® service profile or message is intended to describe or resemble any real person – living or dead. Any similarity between Online Cupids® user profile descriptions or images and any person is purely coincidental..
Phony Email Messages Sent To Free Members To Trick You Into Upgrading:
Also discussed in the terms and conditions page is how the web site utilizes computer programmers to create software programs that are used to send computer generated email messages to their free members. These automatically generated messages are sent with the impression that female members are interested in you. If you look closely at any of the email messages you receive you will see the words "Online Cupid" messages on there. These messages are completely fake, no real girl is involved in trying to communicate with you. It's all a con used to entice you into paying for a monthly membership so you can communicate back to other members on the site (which are all fake).
Taken from the terms page:
"Messages sent from our Online Cupids® service may be automatically generated with no human involvement, and Online Cupids® messages and/or correspondence may be generated by third-parties hired or contracted by Us. The Online Cupids® service is also intended to proactively monitor user activities and other communications to ensure compliance with Our Privacy Policy, internal operating policies, and Our Terms and Conditions."
Computer Sent Instant Chat Messages Used To Trick Male Members Into Buying A Membership:
Instant messages are also 100% fake. As you can see we received one chat message and it was from an Online Cupid aka a person who is not a real member of the site. If you try to respond to any of the phony chat messages you will be met with a statement stating that you need to upgrade in order to continue sending the message. This is the reason that the crooks behind Lonely Affair uses these software programs to send you the phony messages. They want you to upgrade so they can make money off of your gullibility!
(This is a bogus chat message used to lure men into upgrading. It's an "Online Cupid" so there is no doubt that this is not a real girl.)

The Site Hires People To Pretend To Be Female Members:
Why the hell would a dating site actually hire people to pretend to be female members? That sounds crazy but it's completely true. There are people that are actually employed by Lonelyaffair.com to chat with you, send you emails and basically keep you excited. This is all done in an effort to get you to buy a monthly membership. And once you have a monthly membership they still use these paid contractors and employees to keep you paying a monthly subscription fee as long as possible. The site actually admits to this in the terms and conditions page (see below).

This Site Is Here To Amuse You, It's Not A Real Dating Service:
Did you know that Lonely Affair is not actually a dating site, the company that owns the site considers it an entertainment service. They describe the service as something that is for amusement purposes. Because they know full well that this dating service is a complete sham. There aren't any real women on there so how could they even consider a dating service? Back to the terms and conditions page, they even see that this website is for "amusement purposes only".
